João Costa Ribeiro
PSYCHIATRIST | CO-FOUNDER
Psychiatrist with 17 years of clinical experience, PhD in Cognitive Sciences from the University of Lisbon (UL), postgraduate in Therapeutic Creative Expressions from ISPA. Co-founder of Liminal Minds.
He led the implementation of ketamine-assisted therapy at Beatriz Ângelo Hospital (HBA), where he coordinated the Psychiatric Day Hospital and worked in psychiatric recovery and group therapy. He has certified training in Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy by the Polaris Insight Center (USA) and with training in Psychotraumatology by Prof. Liana Netto (Brazil).
He was featured by Expresso Magazine as one of the 50 personalities who can define the future of the country. He is a member of the MIND Foundation and of the scientific council of SPACE – the Portuguese Society for the Clinical Application of Entheogens.
He co-created the "Consultations Without Walls" project at Manicómio, where he continues to explore new perspectives on mental health. He is an associate researcher at the Center for Philosophy of Science at the University of Lisbon.
