José Ramos

Psychiatrist with 17 years of clinical experience, holding a medical degree from FMUL, completed his Psychiatry residency at the Prof. Dr. Fernando Fonseca Hospital (HFF). Co-founder of Liminal Minds.

Psychiatric Hospital Assistant at the IPO Lisbon from 2013 to 2015, working in the Psychiatry/Psycho-Oncology Outpatient Clinic, Liaison Psychiatry/Consultation, Inpatient Support, and Palliative Care Team. Psychiatric Hospital Assistant at HFF from 2015 to 2019, coordinating one of the teams in the Inpatient Unit of the Psychiatry Service. Currently practicing in private clinic.

He created an innovative Photographic Therapy Project in a Day Hospital setting and is also a landscape/nature photographer, creating images and reflective texts associated with them, which spring from the synergy between psychiatric experience and the power of creative freedom. He has multiple photographic publications in National Geographic magazine and other international publications.
