Julia Kowol
CLINICAL PSYCHOLOGIST
Julia Kowol is a psychologist and psychotherapist in training. She works with adults, offering an integrative approach to psychotherapy and recognizing that each person's story is unique and influenced by their relationships, culture, and life experiences.
Throughout her career, she has worked with people in community and clinical settings, focusing on harm reduction and risk minimization associated with the use of psychoactive substances.
Their clinical interests include addictions, trauma, anxiety, life transitions, and the therapeutic potential of expanded states of consciousness, believing that, when addressed appropriately, these experiences can become significant opportunities for individual and collective change.
She is currently training in Humanistic Psychotherapy (APPCPC), and also has training in Internal Family Systems (IFS – Level 1), Coherence Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and family mediation. She has training in Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP – Polaris Insight Center) and MDMA-Assisted Therapy (MAPS).
Originally from Poland, Julia's perspective was also shaped by life abroad, travel, and working with people from diverse cultural backgrounds. India and regions of South Asia particularly inspired her, as contact with different philosophies, contemplative traditions, and lifestyles in those regions broadened her understanding of well-being and human connection.
In addition to her psychotherapy practice, she is drawn to community-based approaches to mental health, social justice, and lifestyles that promote cooperation, a sense of belonging, and mutual support. These values continue to influence her professional development and personal life.
Julia seeks to create a space where people feel safe enough to explore difficult experiences with curiosity and compassion.
